CASCAPÉDIA : BECOMING A FLY FISHING GUIDE

CASCAPÉDIA : BECOMING A FLY FISHING GUIDE - Hooké

The first fishing trip begins with Marc Bujold, who has been guiding canoe trips on the Petite Cascapédia River for over 20 years. With Marc, the hosts explore the pools where the river’s biggest sea trout are usually found. This first outing allows JP and Nicolas—both professional salmon guides themselves—to experience being guided on Gaspésie’s famous salmon rivers.

The guys then meet Marc Leblanc, a world-renowned guide and fly tier. Having grown up fishing the Bonaventure and Petite Cascapédia rivers, Marc knows exactly which flies to recommend to JP and Nicolas.

To wrap up the adventure, the crew heads to the Bonaventure River, where JP primarily works as a guide. This crystal-clear river offers a unique chance to spot exactly where the salmon are hiding.
