After looking at a comparable item from a much more expensive brand, I decided to find a Canadian store to purchase from.
This pan does exactly what I want - roasts a chicken perfectly, with a generous serving of potatoes and veggies around the base, all nicely flavoured from the chicken drippings. Easy pour spouts on the side allow me to quickly make gravy from the drippings.
The centre cup is a nice size for onions, lemons, and garlic, and a small chicken fits on the spike with some gentle convincing.
My mom did refer to the chicken as "Sitting Pretty," which either made me want to revert to vegetarianism or laugh. I opted to laugh and am now enjoying perfectly roasted chicken once a week.
As a small note, I do find the skin hard to get crispy in the upright method. Personally, I just take the skin off afterwards and pop it in the air fryer for a super treat.
