Great pants but fly zipper too short

These would be my ideal men's summer pants for hiking and working. The fit is generally true to size, though maybe a little large. I give four stars only because the 4 inch fly zipper is far too short. Hopefully future versions will have at least a 6 inch zipper.

Le fit est bon, la qualité feel robuste, les zippers arrive à la bonne place, au dessus des Genoux, les zippers sont deux couleurs différentes pour bien différencier quelle jambe va sur quel bord rapidement. Les poches principales ne sont pas avec zipper, mais sont bien assez creuse. Overall, super satisfait.

Convertible pants are the best for hiking! I was waiting for this style from Hooké. I almost never turn convertible pants into shorts. What I do do, however, is zip off the bottom half by about 50%. This allows the pants to mechanically vent through the opening gap you’ve created, giving you about 80% of the benefit of shorts, while also providing close to 100% of the benefit of pants (protection from brush and sun exposure).
