Then, along with Emilie, the guys hit the road toward the Byske River in search of Baltic salmon. There, they reunite with Lars Munk, an experienced angler they had met during the previous season. JP and Fred then make a brief visit to the Sami community, where they discover reindeer herding — an activity that provides about 90% of the Sami people’s food supply.
The trip concludes with a chance encounter with a group of French anglers on their annual fishing trip. The two groups quickly become friends and decide to spend a day fishing together. It’s at the end of this final day in Sweden that Fred finally lands his first Baltic salmon!
