The wildlife reserve includes remote bodies of water, some of which haven’t been fished in over 10 years. The hosts are fortunate to cast for trout across this vast and nearly untouched territory.
Before heading out on their first fishing trip, JP and Fred meet Paul Cinq-Mars — a trapper and self-sufficient fisherman who has lived in the reserve for 15 years and knows the land like the back of his hand. Paul introduces JP and Fred to his way of life. Together, they embark on a long portage expedition to Lake St-Ours, followed by a trip to the Métabetchouane River.
To wrap up their adventure, they meet Roy, Marc, and Denis — three fly fishermen who have been fishing this territory for 38 consecutive years.
